Understanding and Using the Keyword Explorer

Keyword Explorer is a powerful SEO tool that provides comprehensive data about the keywords your website is ranking for. It offers valuable insights into metrics like clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), and average position. In addition, by clicking on a specific keyword, you can view a list of URLs ranking for that keyword and their associated data.

Access the Keyword Explorer

Log into your SEO dashboard and locate the 'Keyword Explorer' option. Website> SEO > Keyword Explorer.

Understand the Data

The Keyword Explorer will display a list of keywords that your website is ranking for. Alongside each keyword, you'll see data for:

  • Clicks: The number of times users clicked on your website after searching for the keyword.

  • Impressions: The number of times your website appeared in search results for the keyword.

  • CTR: The Click-Through Rate, calculated as (Clicks ÷ Impressions) x 100. This indicates the percentage of users who viewed your website in search results and then clicked on it.

  • Position: The average position of your website in search results for the keyword.

Explore Keywords

Click on any keyword in the list to get more detailed information. This will bring up a list of URLs on your website that are ranking for the selected keyword.

Understand URL Data

For each URL displayed, you'll see data for 'Top Pages', 'Clicks', 'Impressions', 'CTR', and 'Position'.

  • Top Pages: These are the pages on your website that rank highest for the selected keyword.

  • Clicks, Impressions, CTR, Position: These metrics are similar to those explained in Step 2, but they are specific to the selected URL and keyword combination.

By using the Keyword Explorer effectively, you can gain valuable insights into how your website is performing for various keywords.
